
Chloe’s Autumn/Winter 09 campaign was criticised by many on the grounds of it being too polished and fake – that the models had been made unrecognisable through excessive use of Photoshop. Their newly published Spring/Summer -10 campaign has now also been criticised across global fashion forums – it is “boring”.
Yes, it is a studio shot. Yes, it is classic. It is simple. And commercial. And no, it might not be that innovative. However, I must say I absolutely love the campaign. This ‘boring’ ad, with its soft colours and crisp tailoring, represent what Chloé is all about, and it is in my opinion not boringness.
Any thoughts?

I love it! It is simple, and that makes it beautiful!
The bag gets my focus, and the bag is pretty enough for the whole campaign. If the picture was less simple, I probably would not have noticed how beautiful the bag is.
And remember: Less is more!
